BRUCE BLOCK: Bruce is an adjunct
professor at the University of Southern California’s School
of Cinematic Arts, where he has taught graduate level
classes in visual structure for the past 30 years. His book,
The Visual Story (2007), now in its second edition, is used
worldwide by students and professionals working in motion
pictures, television, advertising, and video game design.
Bruce also teaches visual structure at the AFI and UCLA, and
his seminars on visual structure have been presented to
companies including PIXAR Studios, The Walt Disney Company,
DreamWorks Animation, Nickelodeon Studios, Hasbro
Interactive, Hewlett Packard, Blue Sky Studios, DirecTV and

SEAN ESBJÖRN-HARGENS PH.D.: Sean is an
associate professor and founding Chair of the Integral
Theory Program at John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant
Hill, California. He is a leading scholar-practitioner in
Integral Theory and has worked closely with Ken Wilber for a
decade operationalizing the integral (AQAL) model in
multiple contexts. Sean is a founding member of Integral
Institute and currently serves as their Vice President of
Applications and Research. He is also the founding Director
of the Integral Research Center, the founding Executive
Editor of the Journal of Integral Theory and Practice, and
co-founder of the biennial Integral Theory Conference. Sean
is one of the most published authors applying the integral
model to a variety of topics, including: Research,
education, consciousness studies, intersubjectivity,
sustainable development, ecology, science and religion, and
play. His articles have appeared in several academic
journals, including the Journal of Consciousness Studies,
Journal of Humanistic Psychology, World Futures, and
ReVision. He co-edited Ken Wilber’s book The Simple
Feeling of Being, (2004) and is the co-author of
Integral Ecology: Uniting Multiple Perspectives on the
Natural World (2009) and the editor of Integral

JAMES FADIMAN PH.D.: James is a
celebrated author, psychological researcher, corporate
consultant, and an adjunct professor at the Institute of
Transpersonal Psychology, which he co-founded. He is also
one of the founders of the transpersonal movement, one of
the first lecturers at Esalen Institute, and one of the
early pioneers in psychedelics research, along with Ram Dass
and Timothy Leary. He is the co-author of Personality and
Personal Growth (2005) and Essential Sufism
(1999), and the author of Unlimit Your Life (1989)
and The Other Side of Haight (2004). James’s areas of specialization are
transformative fiction, Sufi storytelling, altered states of
consciousness, creativity, human potential, personal and
organizational problem solving, and transpersonal theory.

ARTHUR HASTINGS, PH.D.: Arthur is a
Professor at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology where
he is the Research Director for the Institute and the
Director of the William James Center for Consciousness
Studies. He is also a former faculty Chair for the
Residential programs, former Dean and President of the
Institute, and a past President of the Association for
Transpersonal Psychology. Arthur’s areas of specialization
are audio entrainment, altered states of consciousness,
hypnosis, parapsychology, research methods, and Integral and
transpersonal theory. He has published numerous academic
articles and is the author of With the Tongues of Men and
Angels (1991). Arthur has conducted pioneering research
